Frequently Asked Questions
-
What does your pool cleaning service include? We inspect the equipment such as pump and autovac for proper function, correct any issues with the equipment as needed, empty skimmer basket, empty pump basket, check chemistry, adjust chemicals as needed, net debris from top and bottom as needed, brush steps and sit-outs, brush walls as needed, scrub tile line as needed. Pretty much anything your pool needs to be fully functional, efficient, clean, safe, and beautiful as it should. Then we top it off with an email of the service report including chemical information and a picture of the pool to give you peace of mind the work was done to your standards.

How much does weekly pool cleaning cost? The price will vary from pool to pool, but an average 15,000 gallon pool will be $135/month
-
Is weekly service needed in the winter?YES and NO In some parts of the country the pool will be "closed" in late fall and "opened" in the spring. This is to avoid damage due to freezing. In Southern California however the pools remain open year round. Although you may not use your pool in the winter, mother nature never stops using it. Rain will alter chemical balance, and wind brings in lots of dust and debris that add phosphates and nitrates into the water that will contribute to algae growth. It is HIGHLY recommended you keep your pool serviced year round to avoid a higher cost in the spring to bring your pool back into shape for swim season.
-
How long should I run my pump? This is something you should leave for your pool service technician, but to answer the question it is determined by the size of your pool, The total dynamic head of your system, the flow capacity of your filter, if you have a salt system, bather load, and your pumps type and horsepower rating. A rule of thumb for single speed pumps is 8-10 hours a day during swim season and 6-8 hours in the off season.
-
Why should we hire POOL NERDS?Because NERDS DO IT BETTER. Innuendos aside, grade A pool service from top of the class technicians.
-
What payment method do you accept? For weekly service we accept ACH and all major credit cards. For any of our other services we accept ACH, credit cards, check, and cash. Payments can be made online via e-invoice or for weekly service clients through their online portal where they can review all previous payments, invoices, service reports and more.

Can I let my dog swim in the pool? When your pooch is hot, he will want to take a dip, and we love our dogs, but it really isn't a good Idea. The CDC recognizes that dogs shed infectious agents like Salmonella and Giardia into the pool water. Pool Magazine, Florida Swimming Pool Association, and many others recognize that a large dog in your pool is like having 50 human swimmers. Most health departments will not allow dogs in public swimming pools due to health and saftey concerns. Dog hair and body oils can clog filters. And its really not great for the dogs either.
